Christmas News From China

Dear Friends

As Christmas approaches and many of us face restrictions of freedom of movement, we want to share some lovely news from China.

Last weekend we held an event with our Yulin dogs at a shopping mall south of Beijing. Mr Zhao helped Anna drive some of our friendly rescues and even some cats for our meet and greet event. Anna then joined with volunteers, and they spent the day selling key rings, calendars and treats. Anna even gave a speech explaining where the dogs had come from.

It was successful with all ages wanting to pet our rescues. Even little Sarah came along, and she was able to see how humans though cruel, can also be kind. Two lovely ladies, who had come to our shelter many times, turned up with the brothers Yumi and Yuka who they had recently adopted. It was hard work but lots of fun.

We have done our best to get as many dogs to new homes this Xmas and fundraise, but not being able to do outdoor events has been challenging. It was therefore so great to see it in China. Nothing beats meeting our rescues.

We made it into the national papers again today to promote our calendars, and we only have 92 to sell to cover this month#s food bill. So if you have not done so already, please order one. European sending is a bit slow, but we will be posting out first thing Monday in time for New Year.

We do have so much to be grateful for this Xmas. Above all, we are thankful for all of you—your fantastic support. Please do not hesitate to reach out for a chat or a virtual paw hug!

Have a peaceful Christmas and stay safe. Better days are coming.
